Utah Attorneys

Meet our team

When you’ve been legally wronged, you need a Utah attorney who is experienced, confident, and understanding of your case’s unique needs. Navigate your case with the experts at Young & Young.

Allen K. Young

Allen graduated from Brigham Young University in 1968.  He then carried on a family tradition in law by pursuing and receiving his juris doctorate from the University of Wyoming School of Law in 1971.

After graduation from law school, Allen returned to Utah and has practiced continually for the past 44 years.  He has successfully tried over 100 jury trials and has extensive experience in the Utah district and federal court systems.

Over the years, Allen’s knowledge and experience have helped him settle or litigate almost every type of injury case imaginable, including car and commercial truck accidents, train accidents, medical negligence cases and even a wrongful death as the result of a bear attack.  As a result of this extensive experience and reputation, Allen is able to help you reach a fair settlement for your claim.  If push comes to shove, he is the lawyer that has what it takes to help you win in court.

Allen’s passion over the past 44 years has been helping clients who are victims of negligence, medical malpractice and products liability, receive just compensation for their injuries.  With more than eight multi-million dollar judgments under his belt, Allen has the confidence and experience to see your case through to the end.

Maintaining family tradition, Allen now works alongside his son Tyler, continuing to help their clients battle insurance companies for fair resolutions of their claims.  Allen and Tyler have a total of over 100 million dollars in combined judgments and settlements to date.  Their success, combined with excellent client relations, have given Young & Young an outstanding reputation.

Allen is currently a member of the Utah Bar Association, the Utah County Bar Association, the American Trial Lawyers Association and the Utah Association of Justice.  It is a testimony to Allen’s experience and ability as a trial lawyer that he was recently nominated as a fellow with the prestigious International Academy of Trial Lawyers (IATL).  IATL limits its members to 500 active trial lawyers in the United States and Allen has been deeply honored by this nomination.

Tyler S. Young

Tyler carries the tradition of law in the Young family into the next generation – and very successfully.

After graduating from University of Utah in 2002, Tyler moved on to study law at Oklahoma City University. In 2006, he received his J.D. and brought back his experience to Utah where he has since helped hundreds of personal injury clients receive the retribution they deserve.

Alongside his father, Allen K. Young, he has helped build a successful and well respected legacy for Young & Young – a legacy which they plan to continue.

Tyler was selected as one of Utah’s top 40 trial lawyers under 40, which evidence his drive and dedication to serve his clients to every extent of the law. He has also been a major contributor to such organizations as the Utah Association for Justice, graduate of the Trial Lawyers College founded by Gerry Spence, and the American Trial Lawyers Association.

He continues to give back to the community through his involvement in the Springville Rotary Club where he was President from 2011 to 2012. Off the job, Tyler acts as an assistant baseball coach at Springville High School.
